Recycling and Garbage Drop-Off Facilities

ALERT: Olympic View Transfer Station is closed until Feb. 5 for floor repairs. Recycling area also closed.

The closure does not affect curbside waste services or the hazardous waste facility.

During the closure, business customers should request a custom disposal plan.

All other customers (Olympic View, Silverdale, Hansville, Olalla) should:

  • Postpone your "dump/recycling runs" if you can. Delay home projects that will create more waste than usual. Store waste at home in leak and rodent-proof containers protected from wind and animals. Keep recycling dry.

  • If you can't wait, find an alternative facility in your area.

  • Sign up for curbside collection for household waste. Homes in unincorporated areas can get monthly or twice-monthly garbage/recycling service for less than Olympic View's $22 minimum fee.

  • Subscribe to email or text alerts in case we open the facility earlier than expected.

  • Visit this webpage often for project updates.

We appreciate your support and apologize for this inconvenience. Questions? Email solidwaste@co.kitsap.wa.us.
