From the Freeway (Hwy.16): Exit at the Old Clifton Rd./Tremont St. exit. Turn right off of the exit. Follow Tremont St. staying in the left lane. At the third light, turn left onto Sidney. Follow Sidney approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Division. Courthouse is located at 614 Division Street.

From North Kitsap, Central Kitsap and Bremerton into Gorst along the water: Follow the road along the water into downtown Port Orchard. Turn right onto Sidney Ave. at the stoplight. Go up the hill and turn right on Division. Courthouse is located at 614 Division Street.

From Southworth Ferry: Off of the ferry, turn left onto Sedgwick Rd., and continue until you come to the second stoplight. Turn right onto Bethel Rd. Continue on Bethel until you get to the second stoplight. Turn left onto Lund Ave. Continue across the bridge to the first stoplight and turn right onto Sidney. Follow Sidney approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Division. Courthouse is located at 614 Division Street.

There is public parking in front of the Courthouse and on the streets surrounding the Courthouse but be advised that parking in those spots is limited to two hours.  The parking behind the courthouse is paid parking for employees.  The lot further behind the paid lot is for employee parking only.

The courtrooms hearing Superior Court matters are located on the second floor of the Courthouse. Court calendars are prominently displayed on bulletin boards in many areas on the second floor. Court calendars list the cause number and name of each action set for the current date, as well as the Judge/Commissioner hearing the matter and the courtroom number. If you cannot locate your matter on the court calendar, please check in with the receptionist in Room 210.

Persons appearing in response to a call for jury duty should check in with the Jury Clerk in Room 110 on the first floor of the Courthouse.

Most superior court files are public record and are open to view at the Superior Court Clerk's Office in Room 202. Files that are not open for public viewing include juvenile files, dependencies and adoptions.

Copies of filed documents are available from the Superior Court Clerk's Office provided that the file is not sealed. There is a cost for obtaining copies. Questions regarding copies from a file should be directed to the Clerk's office at 360-337-7164.

As a general rule, No. The judges are prohibited under the Canons of Judicial Ethics from discussing matters pertaining to a case without all parties involved in the case being present. Many procedural questions may be answered by consulting the Kitsap County Local Court Rules.

The Kitsap County Superior Court Clerk has forms available to the public for dissolutions (divorce). There is a charge for the forms. Please contact the Clerk's office (360-337-7164) for availability and pricing information.

If your fine relates to a Superior Court matter, you should go to the Superior Court Clerk's Office, Room 202, in the Courthouse, 614 Division Street, Port Orchard, Washington.
