Infant Toddler Early Intervention

Child Development Services

If your child is under the age of three and has special needs, or you are concerned about the way your son or daughter is developing, your family may qualify for services to support your child's development.

Child development services (also known as early intervention services) are provided to children birth to three years old who are eligible fore services through the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA).

Services typically consist of evaluation, family education and support, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and/or specialized instruction.

Services are based on an Individual Family Services Plan developed by the family and a team of professionals. Services are provided in natural environments as appropriate to meet the individual needs of the family and child. Through the development of a transition plan, services help the child and family progress from early intervention services into the public school system.

The Kitsap County Developmental Disability Program currently contracts with the Holly Ridge Center for Child Development Services.
