Kitsap County Code Updates

The Department of Community Development is currently processing a batch of administrative and a batch of minor code amendments.  The proposals were shared with the Board of County Commissioners on
October 4, 2017
 and the Planning Commission on October 17, 2017.  The graphic below summarizes the characteristics used to identify administrative, minor and major code amendments.

Minor Code Amendments

The Kitsap County Department of Community Development has postponed updating vacation rental and parking area requirements to allow for additional public engagement and to develop additional alternatives.

An update regarding the flexibility of maximum lot size requirements will continue to the Planning Commission for consideration on December 19, at 5:30 pm at the Kitsap County Administration Building, Commissioner's Chambers 619 Division St., Port Orchard, WA 98366. Please see packet materials.

Updating Kitsap County Code is a process which includes opportunities for public dialogue to ensure the interests of all stakeholders are heard. Kitsap County appreciates the time taken by residents to participate in this code update process.
