What items can go in the recycling cart?

Compost: Food and Yard Waste

Curbside compost service is available to most single-family homes in Kitsap County for a fee. By adding compost service, you may be able to shrink your garbage and offset some of the cost.

Enter your address into the curbside composting map to learn if service is open to your home. By 2026, all single-family homes will have the option to add compost services. If not available at this time, submit an interest form, and Kitsap County Solid Waste will notify you when services are in your area.
