National Public Works Week (NPWW) celebrates the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works.


CAREER DAY - TUESDAY APRIL 24, 2018

Learn more about the wide variety of exciting careers available in Public Works. Career Day is an open house event at two Public Works facilities.

ELEMENTARY TOUR DAY - TUESDAY MAY 22, 2018

This fun and interactive learning event at the Randy W. Casteel Public Works Annex is open to groups in grades 3 through 6. Students learn about traffic signs, road striping, intersection signals, crosswalks, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and how our garbage is processed. Rotate through five stations of educational activities including a fast paced 'game show'.

PAINT A SNOW PLOW BLADE - Entries Close May 17

See your class artwork on a 11 foot by 3 foot canvas, driving around Kitsap County. We are seeking creative snow blade designs to be painted on Public Works snow plow blades to enter our contest. If chosen. we will deliver the plow to your school with paints and brushes.
