WATER QUALITY TEST KITS
Water quality sample kits are available for loan from Kitsap County. The kit tests for pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen.
The kit includes:
• Thermometer
• Wide Range pH Test (test tube, test tabs, color chart)
• pH Scale
• Dissolved Oxygen Test (vial, test tabs, color chart)
• A worksheet explaining the tests and the results is available
STREAM BUG SAMPLING KIT
This educational kit will help your class discover what little critters live in your local streams.
• Vials of stream bug specimens
• Sieve to collect live bugs (if desired)
• White tub for water and live bug samples.
• Set of 10-15 microscopes to view live bug samples.
• Dichotomous Key
• Stream Insects of the Pacific Northwest Reference Guide.

PERVIOUS PAVEMENT SAMPLE
Show your students a magic trick! Water soaks through this asphalt material used to make roads. The secret: It is pervious asphalt and is designed to allows water to soak into the ground. Various types of pervious pavement have been installed in locations around Kitsap County.
