Kitsap County Elections adds eight ballot drop boxes

PORT ORCHARD - The Kitsap County Auditor's Office - Elections Division is adding eight new ballot drop boxes before the August 1 Primary, expanding on the nine already in place. Ballot drop boxes allow voters to return ballots up to 8 p.m. on election night and without a postage stamp.

The new boxes are scheduled to be installed this week in Hansville, Kingston, Suquamish, Tracyton, Navy Yard City, Manchester, Southworth and Burley, in time for Primary Election voting period.

The eight new locations were selected to meet the requirements of SSB 5472, passed by the Legislature and signed by the governor this year.

"The addition of these ballot drop boxes provides voters more convenient locations in our community to return their ballot and participate in the election process," said Dolores Gilmore, Kitsap County Auditor.

For the complete list of all ballot drop boxes, go to kcowa.us/vote. This site will be updated as the new boxes are installed.
