You may request disclosure of public records through the Kitsap County Public Records Center portal. The Public Records Center allows the requestor to make public disclosure requests, review and download responsive records and communicate with the County staff handling your request.

Please be aware that public disclosure requests for records held by the Kitsap County Sheriff are made directly to the Sheriff’s office. A link to this option is available in the Public Records Center. Requests for records held by all other departments and offices can be made through the “Submit a request to the County” link.

Within five business days of receipt of the request, the County will either: (1) provide the record(s); OR (2) deny the request; OR (3) acknowledge the request and provide a reasonable time estimate for the response. A fee chart is available in the How Much Does It Cost link below as well as the Public Records Center FAQs. The most common fees are $0.10 per page for scanning hard copy records and $0.15 per page for hard copy reproduction (photocopying or printing).

Pursuant to WAC 44-14-01001, Court records are not subject to this Act. Access to these records is governed by court rules and common law. Most of these court records are open to the public and easily accessible through the Clerk's Office. For further information, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 360-337-7164 or on their web site at www.kitsapgov.com/clerk/. Reasonable charges may apply.
