Are you turning age 65? Will you soon be eligible for Medicare? A free "Welcome to Medicare" class is being offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22 in the Orchid Room of Harrison Medical Center, 1800 Myhre Rd, Silverdale. The event is sponsored by the local Kitsap County State Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) program and the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.

The class will provide information on Medicare Parts A and B; Medicare supplement and advantage plans; Part D prescription drug plans; and fraud prevention. Walk-ins are welcome to the class but pre-registration is preferred as space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
