Tina R. Robinson, Kitsap County Prosecutor

‚ÄčTina Robinson was elected Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney in November 2014, taking office on January 1, 2015. Prior to being elected, Tina represented indigent defendants charged with felonies in Kitsap County for eight years. Tina attended law school at Seattle University School of Law, which she graduated from in 2006. While Tina dreamed of being an attorney when she was a teenager, she did not pursue that dream until later in life. Tina grew up in small towns in Illinois. After graduating from high school she enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving her country for nearly 10 years and travelling throughout the states and out of the country. After the Air Force, Tina pursued a degree in business management while working in the medical field. Tina moved to Port Orchard, WA in July 1995 and still resides there today. Prior to attending law school Tina was a Manager with Group Health Cooperative where she was responsible for a staff of 48 personnel and a three million dollar budget.

The Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney's Office employs 40 attorneys and 36 support staff personnel and has an annual budget of about $9 million. In 2016, working with the District Court, a behavioral health court took its roots to address the many individuals who come into contact with the justice system due to behavioral health issues. Tina and her team strive to address public safety through diversion programs and working with local leaders and the community to support successful re-entry efforts. In addition, the attorneys in the office work diligently to get the worst criminals out of our communities for as long as possible.

Tina currently serves as a board member for Kitsap Community Resources, The Partnership for Juvenile Justice Council, and the Washington Association for Prosecuting Attorneys. She is also a member of the East Bremerton Rotary and she and her husband are active in their local church.

Tina is married to Ken. Between them they have two children and four grandchildren. Tina has embraced Washington as her home and enjoys all of the outdoor activities that this beautiful state offers.
