Two workshops on Substance Abuse Training; one day and one evening session. For parents, school administration and staff, grandparents, coaches, mentors, youth serving professionals, law enforcement, treatment providers and counselors. Registration is limited.

WSU Extension will be holding the following training opportunities; 
Strong African American Families - Facilitator Training
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Response Training

Chalk Art Expression Event, Saturday, September 16, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at two locations, rain or shine Bremerton and Kingston. During this event in Bremerton from noon - 1:00 p.m. the Kitsap County Coalitions will create a human line across the Warren Avenue Bridge, to support the Whatcom Prevention campaign to reduce underage drinking, all are encouraged to join. ​The Substance Abuse Prevention Program (KCSAAP) was first established by the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners in 1990 to develop needed substance abuse prevention resources and to support and assist with the coordination of existing prevention programs and services for youth, families, schools and communities.

 

PROGRAM SERVICES

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is funding Coalitions as part of the Community Prevention & Wellness Initiative which focus the limited prevention resources to communities and provide long-term support for positive community change.
