Kitsap County Title VI Notice to the Public
Kitsap County hereby gives public notice that it is the County's policy to assure full compliance with Title VI, Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Kitsap County Department of Public Works Roads Division assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.I. 100.259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance from the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Filing a Complaint
Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with Kitsap County. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with the Kitsap County Title VI Coordinator within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
